A PERSON hit by a train in the Hayes and Harlington area has caused lengthy delays for commuters heading into and out of London today.

Trains are running up to 20 minutes late after the incident which is affecting trains in and out of London Paddington.

Service provider, First Great Western, said all lines have now reopened following the incident between Hayes and Harlington and West Drayton stations but delays are still to be expected.

First Great Western have estimated that disruption will continue on the line until 2pm this afternoon.

National Rail has confirmed First Great Western passengers may use Transport for London services on any reasonable route due to the incident.

South West Trains are also conveying passengers between Reading and London Waterloo in both directions until further notice with arrangements made for First Great Western tickets to be made valid on these services.
