UPDATE: M4 reopens after eight car smash

THE M4 eastbound has been reopened after an eight car smash.

The incident took place between junction 5 and 4B, eastbound, at 8.20am. Police and firefighters are still at the scene.

Five people have been injured, although their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Traffic is reported to be 'flowing freely' with all four lanes reopened.
