A COMPETITION has been launched to find three sporting 'champions' in the community.

The Slough-based Topperland company has set up the nationwide competition to coincide with the Olympic Games which seeks to find worthy individuals who have contributed to their community through sport.

Geng Zhang, Topperland director said: "This competition is for the unsung sports heroes, the people who have made a difference to someone else's life or their community in a significant way.

Individuals can be nominated via Facebook with nominations consisting of less than 50 words explaining the contribution they have made to sport in their local area.

The three winners will be awarded with customised figurines hand-scuplted by Topperland.

Mr Zhang added: "We're looking forward to celebrating those who are quiet champions and those who inspire people in sport locally."

Deadline for entries is 17th August. For more information and to enter, visit www.facebook.com/Topperland/
