Details for Eton Christmas Lights switch-on tonight

THE switch-on for the Christmas Lights in Eton takes place tonight with Olympic gold medallist Katherine Grainger MBE set to pull the switch.

The evening begin with a community carol service at Eton College chapel at 6.30pm followed by a parade from the chapel to Jubilee Square where the lights will be switched on.

A Christmas market will also be in place on High Street where stalls will sell mulled wine, crafts and Christmas presents.

Residents are advised that temporary road closures will be in place from High Street, south of its junction with Keats Lane to the Windsor and Eton bridge and Eton Court from its junction with the car park entrance to High Street from 6.45-8pm.

A diversion route will be in place on Keats Lane, South Meadow Lane and Meadow Lane.
