A WINDOW has been damaged after a fire caused by a cigarette.
Firefighters from Maidenhead and Langley stations attended a flat in Coulson Way, Burnham at around 1am this morning, after a window blind set alight in the bathroom when one of the occupants was smoking out of the window.
None of the three occupants were injured.
The glass in the window smashed as a result of the fire, and the frame suffered fire damage.
Maidenhead watch manager Tom Woolgar said: "This highlights the importance of a working smoke alarm as it raised the alarm to the two other occupants."
