The victim was in the car park area for residential properties opposite Wickes DIY store, in Farnham Road, Slough, at around 9am on Friday.
He was approached by a man who shouted threats before punching him twice.
He was taken to hospital with facial injuries.
The offender is described as Asian, in his late twenties to early thirties with short black hair and was wearing a cast on his left hand.
Call police on 101 with information.
