AN ECO-FRIENDLY dome to provide respite from overhead planes has been officially opened at a primary school.
Pippins School, in Raymonds Close, Colnbrook, celebrated the opening of the self-named 'Pippadrome’ on Friday last week (20).
Staff and pupils were joined by Mayor of Slough Shafiq Chaudhry and staff from Heathrow Airport at the launch.
The airport has offered the £85,000 abode igloo buildings to schools in the vicinity so they can learn outdoors without being distracted by aircraft noise.
The buildings are made from long tubes of soil and can sit up to 30 pupils.
