FUNDRAISERS got on their bikes to raise more than £500 for a disabled children’s charity.
Staff from Lancaster Jaguar Land Rover in Bath Road, Burnham rode to Windsor on Saturday last week from the store to raise money for Whizz-Kidz.
The event was organised by Allyson Rogers, Lancaster Burnham’s Whizz-Kidz charity champion, and she was very grateful to all who took part.
She said: “The team arrived back at Burnham in one piece and have raised over £545 which is a fantastic amount towards helping to move a child’s life forward and we are busy planning our next fundraising event.” The bikes were provided by Stow’s Cycle Shop in Slough, and Lancaster general manager Darren Wheatley felt Whizz-Kidz was a 'natural fit’ for them.
He said: “As part of the Jardine Motors Group who formed a three year charity partnership with Whizz-Kidz earlier this year, we at Lancaster Burnham recognise that we have a social purpose as well as a commercial one. Whizz-Kidz is a natural fit for us – supporting children improve their mobility, local community relevance and motorised wheels all adds up to a perfect fit for us” If you would like to make a donation, visit www.justgiving.com/Lancaster-Burnham
