A FUN day was a corking success as residents turned out despite the wet weather to raise money for local causes.
Iver Apple Day took over Home Cottage Farm in Bangors Road South, Iver Heath, on Saturday, with nearly 2,000 people turning out to enjoy the fun and games.
More than £5,000 was raised on the day with just less than £2,000 of that going to St Margaret’s Church in Church Road, and Christian Aid, and the rest covering costs.
A whole host of activities were on offer including archery, bric-a-brac and crafts, as well as stalls with local producers selling their goods and traders selling apple-based treats.
Face-painting, ferret racing and a Punch and Judy show also helped to keep the children entertained.
