POLICE are taking their search international as they are still trying to track down a pastor on the run who failed to turn up for his sentencing hearing for fraud.
Bruce Scott, who was a pastor at the Covenant Church of the Cross in Beaconsfield Road, Farnham Common, was convicted of 10 counts of fraud after duping close friends and business associates out of nearly £250,000.
Scott, 51, of Overdales, High Wycombe, was due to appear at Reading Crown Court for sentencing in January, but failed to appear and police have been unable to track him down.
A police spokeswoman said: “Officers are continuing to attempt to locate him and are liaising with the appropriate international authorities.” Scott’s wife Belinda, 43, was convicted of one count of fraud by false representation and was given a one year conditional discharge in January at the same court.
