THE Inquest into the death of Habib 'Paps' Ullah resumed at Beaconsfield Coroners Court today - more than six years after his death.
Mr Ullah, 39, formerly of Arborfield close, Slough, was sat in a car when it was pulled over by police.
The jury panel heard one of the police officers believed Mr Ullah was trying to swallow something, while officers searched the car in a High Wycombe car park.
Three officers struggled to restrain Mr Ullah, jurors heard.
He was described by police as a heroin user who was known to police and suspected of dealing class A drugs.
Giving evidence, DC Richard Bazeley said he felt the impact of up to three blows, made by another officer on Mr Ullah, while he was restraining him. The struggle lasted a couple of minutes before Mr Ullah became unresponsive.
DC Bazeley said he thought Mr Ullah could be feigning at first. However, he could not feel him breathing and called paramedics, who administered first aid. Mr Ullah later died.
The Inquest expected to last four week continues.
