A SLOUGH man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a service station.
Two men entered Holtspur Service Station, A40, Beaconsfield, just before 3.30am on Tuesday morning, threatening staff with a hammer.
They then continued to steal cash and cigarettes before escaping in a white van, which was later found burnt out at Holtspur cemetery.
Thankfully no one was injured.
A 37-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday night in connection with the robbery but has since been released on conditional bail until April 17, pending further inquiries.
Anyone with information about this robbery is being urged to contact Det Sgt Tracey Benham via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
