A community consultation event to discuss plans to develop 77 acres of land for 500 homes between Langley Park Road and Thorney Lane North, Iver is being held in the Village Hall next Tuesday.

The plans by David Wilson Homes will be the centre of the consultation happening between 6.30pm and 9.30pm.

It comes a few weeks after a report for Buckinghamshire County Council on an a possible site for an Iver Relief Road concluded that there were three options that should be evaluated.

These were: 1. Land south of Iver Village (controlled by David Wilson Homes); 2. Ridgeway Trading Estate; 3. Thorney Business Park.

David Wilson Homes controls the land to the south of Iver Village and the development would pay for the relief road.

The event also comes at a time when South Bucks District Council and Chiltern District Council have just launched their public consultation on their preferred options to identify land that could be taken out of the Green Belt for new housing and employment.

Apart from the new Iver Relief Road, the David Wilson Homes development would provide a potential site for a new primary school and doctors' surgery and public open space.
