Most schools in Slough face a cut in funding - as the Government's proposed new formula threatens to cut deep.
Members of the borough council's education and children's services scrutiny panel heard grim news from their head of financial management George Grant when they met on Wednesday.
He said: "Other areas of the Thames Valley region have winners and losers when to comes to how their schools are going to be affected.
"The proposals treat Slough as a London region area and most of our schools seem to be losers."
