An ambulance rushing a patient to Wexham Park Hospital in Slough was involved in a serious collision with a Renault Megane car last night, Monday May 1.
Police and firefighters rushed to the scene at 8.30pm.
The collision happened at the junction of the A4 Wellington Road and William Street - the ambulance had been travelling with blue lights flasing.
The patient who was travelling in the ambulance is not believed to have suffered any further injury or complication as a result of the collision.
But six other people have been taken to hospital, one of them with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Road closures were put in place while the process of investigation and recovery was carried out.
Investigating Officer, Police Sergeant Chris Howlett of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are investigating the circumstances surrounding this collision and we are appealing for witnesses to come forward."
