A man was brutally assaulted in Langley on Saturday night suffering serious stab wounds.
Police were called to an address in Humber Way at 10pm.
It is understood from sources that a birthday party was being held at the address and that a machete was used in the attack.
Police are not confirming the nature of the weapon but have revealed the victim's injuries are 'serious but not life threatening'.
He is being treated at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
A full investigation is being carried out.
No arrests have been made yet.
