Firefighters from Langley and Gerrards Cross backed up Thames Valley police officers when they were called to a home in Colne Orchard, Iver at 1.30pm yesterday.
It is understood that there were fears of a gas explosion and professional emergency teams stayed on the scene for more than three hours.
The neighbouring properties were evacuated during this incident.
A statement from police said that officers were called 'following reports of a fear for the welfare of a man at a property in Colne Orchard, Iver'.
South Central Ambulance has confirmed that paramedics treated a man at the scene after police had gained entry, before taking him to Wexham Park Hospital, Slough.
The police statement ends: "The incident was safely concluded shortly after 4.45pm. No-one was injured during the incident."
It is understood the man taken to hospital is in his 30s and that firefighters ventilated the building.
