A vigil for peace is being held on Burnham Village Green tomorrow - organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association.

The vigil is in response to the attacks in Westminster, Manchester and London Bridge recently.

Councillor Atiq Ahmad Bhatti, president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Slough, said: "We are deeply saddened by the many innocent families and children whose lives have been taken.

"With the on-going threat of extremists who have no place in our society, we wish for this opportunity to come together to not only remember those whose lives have been tragically taken but to also stand shoulder to shoulder to strongly condemn these unthinkable acts of evil."

He is expecting representatives of the British Legion, Household Cavalry, Thames Valley Police, Burnham Academy, Burnham Grammer, St. Peter’s Church, The Well @ Lent Rise and fellow councillors.

He also hopes as many members of the public as possible will come too.

The vigil runs from 11am to noon.
