A manhunt is underway for an escaped prisoner with Windsor connections.
Sheldon Selwyn Westgate, 27, absconded from Springhill Prison in Aylesbury between midnight and 8.40am on Sunday.
He was serving time in prison following a conviction for robbery.
Westgate is 5ft 10ins, of a medium build, with short brown hair which is slicked to one side, a beard and brown eyes.
He has a tattoo on his left wrist which says Emily, a tattoo on his left forearm which says S, a tattoo on his upper left arm of the word Mum and a tattoo on his right upper arm of a dragon and the word Sheldon. He also has an S tattooed on his right shoulder.
Police are asking anyone who sees him to contact Westgate who has connections in the Windsor area.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Carolyn Bailey, based at Aylesbury police station, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who has any information which could help us to locate Westgate.
“If anyone sees him, they should not approach him but should instead call Thames Valley Police on 101 quoting reference '43170290618', or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
