The world famous Cliveden National Trust site in Taplow is celebrating a proud history of inspirational women with a special exhibition - but the organiser hopes to include some women from today as well.

The exhibition will feature women with a historical connection to Cliveden.

The woman behind it is Emily Randall, senior visitor experience officer at Cliveden. She is also inviting people to nominate women they know who are alive and active now to feature in the outdoor exhibition.

To be featured the women need to have a connection to Cliveden, however loose. Perhaps they were born at the hospital, they or their ancestors used to work there, they got engaged on the estate or maybe they just enjoy spending their spare time in the gardens.

The exhibition, which runs from February 2018, will already feature ‘Cliveden Women’ from the estate's 350 year history.

Elizabeth Villiers, Princess Augusta, Harriet the Duchess of Sutherland, Nancy Astor and gardener Norah Lindsay will be among the inspirational female portraits.

Ms Randall said: "Cliveden is a property with a long history of powerful, boundary-breaking women. We want to recognise that and carry on their work by celebrating the amazing women of our community."

The women whose stories are chosen will be invited to Cliveden to have their photograph taken by a professional photographer to be used for the exhibition. They will also be invited to the launch party as guests of honour.

To nominate an inspirational woman use the link http://bit.ly/clivedenswomen Nominations need to be submitted by Friday, November 17 to be counted.
