An incident involving an imitation firearm and reports of shots being fired in Slough led to two men appearing in court on Monday.
Ryan Taylor, 19, of Mill Street, Slough and Jamie Cassell, 27, of Wantage Road, Reading, both pleaded not guilty at Reading Crown Court to a charge of possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Cassell pleaded guilty to a count of having an imitation firearm in a public place.
The case was adjourned for trial on a date no earlier than February 5 next year.
Taylor was granted bail and Cassell remanded in custody.
The charges followed an incident on Friday, September 15 in Stoke Road, Slough, where gunshots were heard and police closed off the area.
