The Windsor and Slough Chrysanthemum, Fuchsia and Pelargonium Society's last show of the year - its the smallest - was held last Tuesday evening.

It may have been the smallest but the blooms on display were some of the largest chrysanthemums displayed this year at Gardener's Hall in St Leonard's Road.

The general horticultural section saw an increase in entries this year, showing that those who cannot manage huge chrysanth blooms can excel in other areas.

It was also a chance for beginners to try their luck.

In the chrysanth section it was a battle between John Marshall, Alex Burke, Allen Munday and Bill Fulton. In the end, John Marshall gained the most points and took five of the awards.

The Mayor, Cllr John Lenton and the Mayoress Margaret Lenton awarded the prizes and gave a short speech.
