FARNHAM Common Sports Club members are quiz trophy winners for the second year in a row.
It is the first time that the annual Surrey Herald Quiz Trophy launched by the Slough Rotary Club 10 years ago has been won twice in succession by the same team.
The event, held Saturday, February 17 at the Farnham Royal Village Hall, Farnham Lane, attracted 14 teams and 120 quizzers from the region.
The quiz made more than £1,000 for good causes at home and abroad.
Quizmaster Terry Pattinson, a former Express journalist, said: "The winning team scored an incredible number of points and is the best quiz team I have known in 20 years of organizing quizzes."
Winning captain Alan Morgan has offered to run the quiz for the Rotary Club next year.
Mr Pattinson added: "That will ensure someone else has a chance to win."
