EDUCATION Secretary Ed Balls was in Slough today (Monday) to meet teachers and pupils at Beechwood School in Long Readings Lane, Britwell.
Mr Balls was keen to meet the faces behind the school's constantly improving academic results after being invited by Slough MP Fiona Mactaggart.
Speaking at a Year 11 assembly, he said: "I am impressed with what I have seen here today and I am very proud of everyone at this school for all the hard work they have done in making it a place where parents are proud to send their children."
Head teacher Julia Shephard added: "It was a great honour having Mr Balls as our guest and it was a privilege showing him around our improved facilities."
