Arson attack in old Cippenham school
A DERELICT school in Cippenham was engulfed in flames on Wednesday evening.
A blaze ripped through the old Western House Primary School site in Brook Path, Cippenham - damaging an old classroom, toilets and the roof.
Six fire pumps from Slough, Windsor and Langley battled with the blaze from around 7.30pm.
The old single-storey site, which is more than 50-years-old, has been empty since pupils and teachers moved to a new £4.5 million school in Richards Way, Cippenham in April 2006. The old school site was then sold off to Kings Oak shortly after the move.
Nobody was inside the building and no-one was injured.
A police spokeswoman said the fire is still being investigated but is being treated as arson. Anyone with more information should call 0845 8 505 505.
