Fifty jobs to be lost in town

FIFTY jobs will be lost in Slough as pharmaceutical giant Pfizer announces new measures to reduce costs.
The job losses will hit research and development staff at the Bath Road factory after the company announced that it was restructuring its operations and reducing the number of scientists by 15 per cent after buying out rival firm Wyeth earlier this year.
A spokesman said: "While these changes are expected to bolster productivity and reduce costs, they will result in staff reductions. Pfizer is committed to supporting affected colleagues, their families, and the affected communities through this transition."

What about the 60 jobs going at Grace Construction Products.
Throwing their loyal workforce out of work, with no hope of getting another job.
The reason, the americans are looking after their own and giving our work to their americans plants.
35 years loyal service, left with a minimum wage pension.

Maybe all the industry is going out of slough because slough estates or segro want the trading estate to be used for offices only. Once a thriving industrial estate there are very few factories remaining
