Doctor Who day at Slough school

The famous Timelord from Gallifrey - the role currently played by Matt Smith in the BBC series - was the focus of the Doctor Who-themed day on Friday last week at Long Close School in Upton Court Road, to mark the start of half-term.
Headteacher David Brazier, who has been at the school for six years, said the idea of the Doctor Day came from Year 5 student Hassam Chaudhry.
Mr Brazier, who came dressed as the ninth Doctor, played by Christopher Eccleston, said one mum was even brought to tears when the themed poster she brought in replaced the school emblem for the day.
Mr Brazier said: "We had a mum come in with a picture of the Daleks on Liondon Bridge. She grew up with it in America and cried as it meant so much to her.
"It was a nice day. We did this curriculum collapse day for our gifted and talented pupils and to give them a chance to show off, though all our kids got dressed up.
"We had a Weeping Angel, a Cyberman, a Tardis and a Dalek, and the students did some creative writing on time travel stories and some quantum mechanics."
