A POLICE officer was seriously assaulted on Tuesday night.
Two Thames Valley Police officers attended Logicalis Ltd, in Buckingham Avenue, Slough, at 9.10pm after reports of a burglary.
Officers in a patrol car attempted to block in a stationary vehicle, which was next to the building with its boot open.
However the vehicle motored past the cop car - trapping an officer by his leg between both cars - before speeding off.
The 31-year-old officer was taken to Wexham Park Hospital with severe bruising to his leg.
He was discharged after treatment.
Supt Richard Humphrey, local police area commander, said: "We are determined to catch the people responsible."
The vehicle is believed to be a silver/grey or light blue Audi estate. A jeep could have also been involved.
