NIGHT-TIME work to resurface sections of the M4 motorway started on Monday.
Carriageway and slip roads will be closed overnight so work can be completed on a six miles stretch of the road.
Work is being carried out overnight between 10pm and 5.30am Monday to Thursdays, 11pm and 6am on Fridays, 10pm and 6am on Saturdays and 10.30pm and 5.30am on Sundays.
Diversions have been put in place during the closures.
Paul Robinson, Highways Agency asset manager, said: "The work will provide road users with a smoother and safer surface.
"It has been carefully planned to minimise disruption to road users and so will be carried out in several phases, overnight, when traffic flows are lowest."
The work is expected to be completed by Thursday July 12.
