HOT SHOT: Six-year-old Keaton Ivins
A SIX-YEAR-OLD is in pole position for a bright racing future after he was crowned a British Champion - only seven months after getting behind the wheel.
Hot shot Keaton Ivins started racing in Mini Sprints go karts - which have controlled gears and are kitted out with a 'cadet' spec Honda engine - in April.
The Lynch Hill Primary School pupil motored past children twice his age to win the Rolling Thunder Show British Championship final, in the mini sprints category, at Arena Essex Raceway, on November 10.
Proud mum Sharon said: "He's done brilliantly. He has been racing for less than a year. We now have to get a chequered roof for his go kart, which he will drive with for the next year."
