A MAN has been convicted of arson after pouring petrol through a letterbox.
Kirk Morgans, 31, of Oldway Lane, Cippenham, was found guilty of one count of arson with intent to endanger life at Reading Crown Court on Thursday last week (10/4).
Morgans poured petrol through the letterbox of a property in Mercian Way, Slough, on October 7 last year, after the victims had reported him to the police for colliding with their parked van the previous day.
The victims woke at around 4am to find their house on fire, and suffered smoke inhalation as a result of the incident.
Morgans was charged with arson with intent to endanger life on October 8 last year, and he will be sentenced on June 13 at Reading Crown Court.
