A 35-YEAR-OLD homeless man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder.
Piotr Pokojowcyk, of no fixed abode, was charged by detectives on Sunday in relation to the assault of a women at a property in St Pauls Avenue, Slough, on Saturday.
The victim was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital, in Oxford, with neck injuries after the alleged assault at around 8.20pm.
Police said she is in a stable condition. Mr Pokojowcyk was arrested shortly after the incident and held in custody overnight.
He appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Monday where he was remanded in custody to next appear at Reading Crown Court on May 12.
