A 36-YEAR-OLD man was punched in the head and gagged while two thugs tried to rob him.
One of the offenders put his hand around the victim’s mouth while they tried to search his pockets.
But the victim fought off the thugs who fled at around 2.30am on Monday. The victim was jumped while walking back to his car along High Street then Hatfield Road.
Nothing was stolen.
The first offender is described as black, of slim build, 5ft 10ins tall and in his mid 20s to early 30s. He was wearing a black scarf covering his hair and face, a waist length black jacket and dark tracksuit trousers.
The second offender is described as white, of slim build, around 5ft 8ins tall and was wearing dark clothing.
