The victim was stabbed three times at around 11pm last night.
He is in a stable condition in hospital.
Crime Manager for Slough, Det Ch Insp Jim Reeves, said: “The motive for this attack remains under investigation as we try and piece together exactly what happened.
“It is unclear whether one or more offenders were involved, or whether they knew the victim.
He added: “I am therefore appealing to anyone with information about the incident to come forward.” It is believed that the victim’s injuries were inflicted by a knife, police said.
