A CARE home has taken delivery of a new mini bus to take residents on trips out.
Langley Haven dementia care home in Ramblers Lane, Langley, purchased the nine-seater mini bus for just under £40,000, and will enable to residents to take trips more regularly.
Yogesh Patel, operations director at Haven Care Home Management, said: “When you read the news many people would believe that residents of dementia care homes are confined to their rooms, or spend days just sitting around lounges in front of a television. This has never been the case at Langley Haven, where we strive to add value and variety to our residents’ lives.” Residents enjoy regular excursions, including recent trips to the Falcon Sports Centre in Stoke Poges for a Bollywood music evening, Oakley Court Hotel in Windsor for afternoon tea, and lunch beside the River Thames at The Harts Boatyard in Surbiton.
