A WOMAN found dead at a property in Slough has been identified as police launch a murder investigation.
Raheela Imran, 45, from Slough was found dead at a property in Hillersdon, Slough on Monday at around 4.50pm.
A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday, and he remains in custody after an extension of custody was granted at Reading Magistrates Court today (Wednesday).
The woman's family has been informed.
Senior investigating officer, Detective Chief Inspector Michael Lynch said: “A murder investigation is now underway and forensic work is continuing at the scene.
“A post-mortem examination has taken place and the results indicate that the cause of death was a fatal wound to the neck.
“We continue to appeal for information that may assist with the investigation and ask anyone who may have relevant information to call 101."
