A SLOUGH man was one of 10 to be arrested as part of a police operation to crack down on offenders who failed to turn up at court.
Operation Reaper involved more than 150 special constables carrying out arrest warrants across the Thames Valley on Sunday, with warrants carried out in every local policing area.
A 49-year-old man from Slough was arrested in connection with an assault and criminal damage. He has been bailed to attend Luton police station today (Thursday).
Chief Officer Mark Hinks said: “I would like to thank all my officers who gave up their Sunday to support Operation Reaper. The Operation has been a success with many arrests, but also just as importantly with lots of valuable intelligence sourced and recorded.
“Some teams also assisted in an Automatic Number Plate Recognition operation, supported frontline teams during a challenging day force wide and delivered a quality service when their Operation was completed.
“I was knocking on doors in the early hours in Slough and three other areas and saw for myself the dedication and commitment that makes the Special Constabulary in Thames Valley Police such a valuable asset.”
