A SLOUGH man who should not be approached by members of the public is being sought by police in connection with fraud, criminal damage and burglary offences.

Micky Smith has been wanted by police since July in connection with a number of incidents.

Between September 17 , last year and July 1, this year offenders visited the homes of elderly and vulnerable people in Reading and Wokingham and attempted to gain access to the properties with a view of charging extortionate amounts of money for roofing work which was not required.

Smith is also wanted in connection with burglary of a rural premise in Swindon, overnight on September 20 to September 21 last year, in which a number of power tools and a quad bike were stolen.

Smith, 30, is white, 6ft tall, of medium build and has dark brown hair.

PC Graham Pink from Local CID said: “"Every effort is being made to trace him and if anyone has any information which could help lead to his whereabouts, "I would urge them to contact police. I would also advise members of the public not to approach Smith but to report any sightings of him to police.” Any sighting should be reported to 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
