A FAMILY’S dream to build an adventure playground in memory of their 'unique angel’ has taken a step closer to becoming a reality.

The Alice Adams Foundation was set up after Iver Heath youngster Alice Adams, 20, was stabbed to death at a premises behind the Radisson Edwardian Heathrow Hotel, where she worked, in August 2011.

The family of the popular youngster, who 'touched the hearts and souls of everyone she met’, plan to install a tree house and outdoor play area for teenagers in memory of Alice.

The foundation has been granted a site for the playground in Black Park, South Bucks. Now the campaign to raise £200,000 to fund the project is ramping up.

In a video posted on the fundraising page, Alice’s aunt Kat Camsey said: “It will be lovely to create this place which will be a magical, wonderful, happy and safe environment for people to visit, and to stand in this beautiful environment we have in Black Park.” Alice, a talented artist, adored the outdoors and was always building tree houses. Her family hope the adventure park will become a place for teenagers and young adults to go and have fun.

The foundation website reads: “Dress like a fairy, share all that you have, laugh till you fall over and be kind to everyone you meet.

“This is something that Alice did every day and something I know this park will do for everyone who visits. It will be a magical, mystical, spiritual, happy and safe haven for all to enjoy and we can make this happen if you’d be kind enough to join.” Plans have been drawn up for the play area and efforts will now be concentrated on raising the cash.

While the amount raised so far is in the thousands, an exact figure has not been announced. Kat continued: “Thank you, we can really see this happening now and it’s wonderfully exciting. Keep getting out there.

“It isn’t just about making the park, it’s about creating social media for something really positive and doing something really nice.

“Let’s light up this world a little bit.” For more information, email kat@aliceadamsfoundation.com or visit www.aliceadamsfoundation.com
