COUNCIL leader Rob Anderson has vowed to speak to bus operators about providing more affordable services after a drop in fuel prices.

He was responding to a question submitted at a full council meeting on Tuesday by resident Ken Wright.

Mr Wright said: “With prices reducing by 20% there should be some bunce in the kitty they can use to help people who use the service instead of giving it to their shareholders.” Cllr Anderson said: “We will work it into our discussions with bus operators on how to improve services and make them more affordable.”
