They offenders punched and kicked the man before stabbing him at around 8.10pm.

He has a puncture wound on his back and is in a stable condition in hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The offenders ran off after the incident.

They are described as of mixed ethnicity and are aged between 15 and 18-years-old. Some of the group were using bicycles.

Investigating officer, Det Con Austin Parry, of Slough Force CID, said: “I would appeal to anyone with any information about this violent and unprovoked attack to come forward immediately via 101.

“Do you recognise the descriptions of the offenders, or did you see a group of youths in the vicinity of Baylis Parade on Wednesday evening? If you did then please contact police as you may have vital information that can help our investigation.

“Thames Valley Police officers will be carrying out extra patrols in the area, meanwhile the scene watch is no longer in place. We thank the public for their cooperation and patience while we continue our investigation.
