TWO men have been charged in connection with handling stolen goods and money laundering in Slough.

Shahid Mohammed Rajput, 32, of Lismore Park, Slough, and Shoaib Babar Syed, 27, of Stormount Drive, Hayes, were each charged with one count of conspiracy to receive stolen goods and one count of acquire/use/possess criminal property, said to have happened on January 12.

The charges resulted from the execution of a number of warrants under the Theft Act 1968 across the Thames Valley and Metropolitan police areas.

Officers recovered more than £9,000 in cash and a quantity of what is believed to be stolen property.

Both men appeared at Slough Magistrates’ Court on February 9 and have been bailed to appear at Reading Crown Court on March 12.
