A TEENAGER was left with bite wounds and puncture marks after being attacked by a dog.

At around 4.50pm on Sunday, the 16-year-old was skateboarding in Claycots Park when he was approached by a man who had a bulldog-type dog with him.

The dog attacked the teenager who had to be treated at Wexham Park Hospital for superficial puncture wounds and dog bites.

He has since been released from hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault.

Investigating officer DC Lindsey Russell of Maidenhead Force CID, said: “I would like to reassure the public that these incidents are rare and extra patrols have been arranged” Anyone with any information should call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
