AN ON-DUTY bus driver lost a tooth after being punched in the face several times at Slough bus station in broad daylight.
The attack happened at stop 11 at the Brunel Way bus station just before noon on Thursday, April 2.
The driver, who was sitting in a parked bus, was approached by the offender who began to verbally abuse him. As the driver got out to speak to the man, he was punched several times in the face, causing facial injuries and the loss of a tooth.
PC Zoe Luno, officer in the case, said: “The assault happened in broad daylight where many people may have been present. Although some witnesses have since come forward, I would appeal to anyone who has any information, but has not yet come forward to do so immediately.
“This was an unprovoked attack on a bus driver who was on duty at the time.” The offender is described as Eastern European, large, around 5ft 7ins, with a strong foreign accent. He was wearing a blue coloured top and bottoms, with white trainers.
Anyone with information, should call PC Luno on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
