A STAMP of approval has been given to a new modern post office which will be open for an extra 56 hours a week.

The Post Office has confirmed that Iver Village Post Office will be re-opened with a new style local service as part of its multi-million pound nationwide investment scheme.

The store in Langley Park Road will include a low-screened counter located at the end of the retail till for post office services, with the opening hours extended to 6am-9pm from Monday to Saturday and 8am-8pm on Sundays.

The branch will close for refurbishment on Wednesday, September 25 at 5.30pm for a scheduled opening at 1pm on Wednesday, October 5.

Keith Long, Post Office Area Manager, said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.

"We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs. This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future.”

During the refurbishment period, residents can utilise services at Langley Post Office in Harrow Market, or Iver Post Office in Bathurst Walk.
