LANGLEY FC have organised a charity football tournament at The Gore, home of Burnham FC, on Sunday, August 10.
The Leon Phillips Memorial Shield will be held in memory of Leon, who passed away in November 2012 - aged 41.
The tournament will also raise funds for the British Heart Foundation, Special Care Baby Unit [SCBU] at Wexham Park Hospital.
Money will also be raised to help buy Trevor Andrews, father of player Matt Andrews, a new chair following a stroke last year.
Langley FC, Langley Old Boys, Merrymakers Old Boys and Langley Galaxy will all compete, and the winners will take on a team of Leon Phillips’ friends.
Phillips, a Chelsea FC fan, helped form Langley FC and played for Langley Old Boys. Ex-Blues star Paul Canoville will be on hand to give out trophies.
Entrance is £5 for adults or £3 if you wear any football shirt - half-price for children. The tournament starts at 12noon.
