BURNHAM FC have appointed Mark Tallentire as the new first team manager in a fresh club structure for the 2015/16 season.

Tallentire is an ex-Blues player and comes with a great track record including five years managerial experience at Binfield.

Dave Mudge has returned to The Gore as general manager to assist Byron Walton, who will act as events and hospitality manager.

The pair will spearhead Burnham on and off the pitch with chairman Gary Reeves, whilst Tallentire controls matters on the pitch.

Reeves said: “The appointment of Mark as first team manager is not only a positive stride forward for the club, but also a very exciting one.

“Mark comes from a solid non-league background, a large part of which has been spent both playing and managing in the local area.

“He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will only benefit Burnham, and Mark is relishing the challenging ahead.

“We at Burnham are very excited by this appointment, and Mark fully understands what we’re trying to achieve and where we want to go.” Reeves added: “We are now heading into year two of my five year plan for the football club.

“I firmly believe that the structure we’ve put in place will provide a solid foundation for the future and the stability of the club.

“I’m excited at the prospect of working very closely with Dave, Byron and Mark.

“We’re determined to put Burnham back on the football map, and we also want to inspire the local community back into the club.

“Improvements in the bar area have already started and refurbishments will continue during the close season.

“And in the meantime we shall also be exploring all possibilities of growing the club.” **PICK up a copy of The Observer, out every Friday, for all the latest sports news and action including more on the appointment of Mark Tallentire as Burnham FC boss** **FOLLOW The Observer on Twitter at @Observer_sports**
