LANGLEY FC Youth Under-15s have won the Eldon Celtic Tournament after a 1-0 win against the host club and defending champions.

It is the first season for the newly-formed youth set-up and the team was built over the summer with the help of Paul Carrol.

The tournament has a high standard of teams and, despite a shaky start, Langley improved in every game to eventually claim the title.

Langley U9s have also enjoyed recent success, taking the Burnham Juniors nine-a-side pre-season tournament.

The young stars beat Sandgate 3-0 in the final with goals from Lucas Mole, Paddy Rooney and George Rathmill.

Despite tiring with only one sub, Langley played exceptional football with all team members playing their part, knocking the ball around well and moving into space.

The season starts in October and Langley will play their home games at Kedermister Park on Sundays.
