REAL Milan have retained the Roy Lester Memorial Senior Trophy this season after an emphatic and comfortable 3-0 victory against Wheatsheaf Dons last Thursday.

Captain Riccardo Cannon put in a stunning strikers performance with a superb hat-trick to ensure Milan won at ease over their rivals.

It was a first cup final between the two sides since 2012 when Dons won 4-1 in the Eric Coe Cup, a part of the now defunct Industrial Sunday Football League.

Milan were definitely out to avenge that defeat and able to field the same side which won the semi-final a few days earlier against Windsor Warriors. That mean Cannon led the line up front despite playing at centre-back all season.

Milan made the breakthrough on the half-hour as a move involving Calvin Morgan and then man-of-the-match Conrad Joseph, who drove past two challenges before slotting in Cannon to turn smartly inside the box and fire underneath keeper Gaz Randhawa.

As Wheatsheaf legs began to tire in the second half Real Milan looked on top and got a second goal not long after the restart, which had a lot of luck about it.

Cannon lined up a shot that deflected off the unlucky Sean Robinson, wrong-footing Randhawa and hitting the back of the net.

The third Milan goal was pure art of perfection, the move, cross and finish was pure magic – Cannon meeting a cross on the volley just inside the box and caressing his shot into the bottom corner.
