MIKE WILLIAMS has opened his heart on the situation at Burnham Football Club, which he claims is being miss-managed by chairman Gary Reeves.

Williams is a Burnham supporter and wrote in to the Observer after The Blues were beaten 1-0 by Brackley Town Saints in a Hellenic Premier Division fixture on September 17.

His letter read: "After the latest embarrassing result from Burnham, I feel that enough is enough.

"The club has been miss-managed from top to bottom by our out-of-his-depth chairman Gary Reeves. During his stewardship the side has gone from bad to worse, to embarrassing.

"We have gone from a mid-table Southern League side with derbies against Slough Town (and often winning them), to bottom of the Hellenic League and certain relegation again.

"Next year our derby will be against Chalvey Sports.

"This chairman has miss-managed the club by spending money we did not have; by sacking the only manager who was brave enough to admit the truth, and by overseeing last season’s disastrous campaign.

"After suffering a mind-blowing 30 defeats from 42 games, Reeves then has the nerve to criticise the FA for not reprieving us.

"The FA did us a favour by ignoring his ridiculous request as instead of losing 0-11, 0-8 and 1-8, we would be losing by 20 goals a game.

"Sixty goals conceded and no points is pathetic, and solely down to our incompetent chairman.

"So, Gary, as a long standing Burnham supporter, I refuse to watch you destroy my team any further until you go."

Former England International Luther Blissett has taken temporary charge as Burnham continue their search for a new manager. The club could announce a new boss later this week.

Burnham were beaten 3-2 after extra time by Highmoor Ibis in the FA Vase on Saturday.

What do you think? Is the football club being "miss-managed" by Gary Reeves, or has the chairman done a good job in very difficult circumstances at The Gore.
